Ezra Is A On Pretty Little Liars

Ezra Is A On Pretty Little Liars

Okay, so, can we just talk about Ezra Fitz for a sec? Like, seriously. If you've been on this Pretty Little Liars journey with me, you know what I'm talking about. It's been a rollercoaster, right? A total, absolute emotional rollercoaster. And Ezra? Well, he’s been right there, front and center, being… Ezra. You know?

Remember when we first met him? Mr. Fitz! The dreamy English teacher. The one who was way too cool for school. And Aria, bless her heart, was instantly smitten. Who wouldn’t be? He was all brooding glances and literary references. It was like, straight out of a teen movie. Except, you know, there was this little thing. The age gap. Oops.

Seriously, though, PLL producers really went there. A teacher-student romance. It was scandalous! And we, the viewers, were all like, “Is this okay? Should we be into this?” But then, he was just so charming. And Aria was so… Aria. So full of angst and artistic flair. They just fit, you know? Even with the whole forbidden fruit vibe. It was juicy!

And then things got complicated. Because, duh, it’s Pretty Little Liars. Nothing is ever simple, is it? Enter the whole secret identity thing. Ezra wasn't just some random teacher. Oh no. He was also a writer. A writer who was researching the Liars. For a book. About Ali. About her disappearance. Can you even with that?

So, he was essentially dating Aria while secretly digging into her best friend's potential murder. Talk about a betrayal! My jaw hit the floor. Did yours? I think mine might have. I was so invested in them as a couple, and then BAM! Plot twist. A big, juicy, “Oh my god, Ezra, what are you doing?” kind of plot twist.

And the whole “He's A” theories! Remember those? Everyone was convinced Ezra was A. He had the access, he had the motive (sort of, if you squint really hard), he had the mysterious past. He was the perfect red herring. Or maybe he was A? The suspense was killing me. Literally. I needed to know!

But then, he wasn't. Or was he? It was so blurry. He kept popping up in suspicious places. He knew things he shouldn't know. He had secret meetings. Was he part of the A-Team? Or was he just trying to protect Aria and the girls? The ambiguity was… a lot.

And let's not forget his family. Oh, his family. The Fitzwilliam dynasty, or whatever they called themselves. So fancy. So rich. So utterly disapproving of Aria. They were like the real-life villains, weren't they? Always pulling Ezra away, trying to control his life, his career, his relationships. Ugh.

His mom, Veronica? What a character. So cold. So calculating. She really thought she was doing what was best for Ezra, but honestly? She was just a menace. And his dad? Never really saw him much, but I bet he was just as bad. The patriarchy, embodied. Or something.

Ezra, bless his complicated heart, was always caught in the middle. Torn between his rich family and his love for Aria. Torn between his writer's curiosity and his genuine feelings. It was a constant struggle. And we were right there with him, yelling at the TV, "Just pick a side, Ezra!"

Then there was the whole publishing thing. He actually wrote the book! The one about Ali. And it was a success. Can you imagine? He made a career out of the girls' trauma. It's… a lot to process, even now. Was it exploitative? Or was it his way of seeking the truth? The lines were so blurred.

And through all of it, the secrets, the lies, the near-death experiences, Ezra and Aria kept finding their way back to each other. Like a moth to a flame. Or, you know, two people who are deeply, irrevocably, and sometimes questionably, in love.

Did you ever doubt them? I know I did. There were times when I was like, "Nope, this is too much. Aria, run!" But then Ezra would do that puppy-dog eye thing, or say something poetic, and I'd be hooked again. It’s like a drug. A PLL drug.

And when he finally proposed? Oh my gosh. After everything. After all the drama, all the tears, all the “Is he good or is he bad?” moments. He actually proposed. And Aria said yes! I was sobbing. Happy tears, mostly. A little bit of confused tears. But mostly happy.

Then, of course, there was the whole Big A reveal. And spoiler alert (though, let’s be real, if you’re reading this, you’ve probably seen it a dozen times), Ezra was NOT Big A. Shocking, right? I mean, who saw that coming? (Okay, maybe some of you did. You're smarter than me.)

But even when he wasn't A, he was still involved. He was still digging. He was still trying to piece things together. He was like the unofficial detective of Rosewood, alongside the Liars. Always lurking, always observing. Keeping his secrets, but also trying to uncover theirs.

And his relationship with Nicole? Don’t even get me started on that. When Nicole reappeared, alive and well, after being presumed dead, I was like, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?” And Ezra had this whole complicated history with her. So, Aria had to deal with that. Because, why wouldn't she? It’s PLL.

It was like he was constantly surrounded by drama, both personal and professional. He was a magnet for it. And Aria, bless her, was just along for the ride. A very dramatic, very dangerous ride.

But here’s the thing, you know? Despite all the questionable decisions, all the secrets, all the times I wanted to smack him upside the head with a copy of Wuthering Heights (his favorite book, probably), I kind of… rooted for him. And Aria.

They were this forbidden, messy, complicated love story in the middle of an even messier, more dangerous world. And maybe, just maybe, they were each other’s anchor. Or at least, their favorite kind of chaos.

He was the brooding intellectual. She was the artsy rebel. Together, they were… a lot. A beautiful, infuriating, completely bonkers lot. And honestly? I wouldn't have had it any other way. Because, let's face it, PLL wouldn't have been the same without Ezra Fitz. The teacher, the writer, the suspect, the love interest. He was a core part of the whole… thing.

So yeah, Ezra Fitz. He’s a whole mood. A whole enigma. A whole reason I probably need to rewatch the show just to make sense of it all again. Anyone else feel me? Grab another coffee, we’ve got a lot more to unpack. Or at least, a lot more to complain about with fond affection.
